My Cloth Diapering Saga

When Ballerina Girl was first born, I was in the running to be a stay home mom like we’d planned.  I decided at the time that I wanted to go with cloth diapers instead of disposables.  Cloth diapers have really come a long way since the old prefolds, big ol safety pins and plastic pants!

At the time, I didn’t know many brands so I bought a bunch of Fuzzibunz size small diapers.  We were pretty broke and I didn’t buy a whole lot, intending to go up in size as she did.  These diapers were about $16 apiece shipped.  That’s pretty pricey, right?  Yeah… not so much. Continue reading →

Review: KitchenAid Fruit/Vegetable Strainer

Last year I bought the KitchenAid Fruit/Vegetable Strainer (FVSFGA/FVSP).  I almost sorta remember doing the same thing and getting the same results, but this time I am blogging it.  I remember last year I made applesauce with it and it turned out great. Nice smooth texture and all I did is quarter apples, cook them, and the strainer just extruded out the cores/peels/etc the end, while the sauce glopped down into the bowl below.

In-text ads!

OK so I thought I’d end up posting on the blog a lot more now that I’m at home.  It’s kinda funny how incredibly busy I am!  I’m adjusting nicely to life in the country.  The girls sure are too!  They love our new house.  It’s a lot nicer commute for Mr. Hot Stuff also, though is still pretty long for him.  But he gets to come home to dinner on the stove, the table set, with a nice wood fire crackling in the stove.
